as they grow old, are apt to find their 
houses overflowing with books + have 
to thin them out; at least I often do.  
        I have a copy of Masson’s 
Life of Milton, the most elaborate of 
all books on the subject.  It is in six 
vols. 8vo, in the original binding, uncut, 
and with the author’s autograph in 
the last three vols.   This I wish 
to sell for $12.   A copy of the

the author's autograph, was sold at 
an auction in 1902 for $10.50
